Statutory compliance
Air conditioning and F-gas inspections
Air conditioning systems with an effective rated output above 12kW must have an energy assessment (a TM44 inspection) at least every five years under the Energy Performance of Buildings Regulations 2012. Systems containing fluorinated gases also need periodic leak checks under the F-gas regulations, with the interval set by the system's refrigerant charge.
The law behind it
- Energy Performance of Buildings (England and Wales) Regulations 2012
- Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases Regulations
